Ready to bring the chop without tearing into the valvetrain? The new Chopacabra NSR (No Springs Required) Camshaft delivers the unmistakable idle and attitude you expect from the Chopacabra lineup — without needing an upgraded valve spring kit. If you're looking for aggressive sound and a stealthy install, this cam was built for your 6.0L or 6.2L LS build.
Camshaft Specifications:
- Duration @ .050” (Intake/Exhaust): 216° / 230°
- Lift (Intake/Exhaust): .495" / .495"
- LSA: 108°
- ICL: 110° (108+2)
- Overlap: Aggressive – maximum chop at stock lift
Fitment:
- 6.0L & 6.2L LS Engines
- Designed for LS3-style rectangular port cylinder heads (L92, LS3, L99, etc.)
- Compatible with stock intake, stock valve springs, and stock pushrods
Features & Requirements:
- No valve spring upgrade required – NSR design built to work with stock springs

This cam was tested on a real-world setup using completely stock valvetrain components:
- Engine: 370 CID LQ4-Based Short Block
- Compression: 10:1
- Cylinder Heads: Stock L92 with 180K mile valve springs
- Intake: Stock L92 Intake Manifold
- Fuel: 93 Octane Pump Gas
